Astley & Tyldesley made a quick return trip to Hull, and once again recorded an impressive win. This time, A & T were racing in Round 4 of the Northern Fours League series. A bad start for A & T saw Darek Kurkowski excluded after slipping whilst leading heat 1 and inadvertly bringing down an opponent. The next three races were all won by A & T riders, and A & T took the lead in heat 6, which they extended to an impressive 14 points margin by the end of heat 16. The whole team gave a most professional, controlled performance, none more so than Tomasz Wlodarczyk, who completed his maximum with a fine pass on the previously unbeaten Andy Angell, of Hull. With nearest challengers, Sheffield, losing the other Northern Fours League match ridden, this puts A & T as clear leaders of the table, with four rounds remaining.
