Astley & Tyldesley hosted round 5 of the Northern Junior League series at Gin Pit on Sunday. Continual rain greeted the riders, with the track on the soft side but holding up well. Stockport maintained their position at the top of the league, with a convincing victory, ahead of Bury, with A & T third and Sheffield fourth. Mark Taylor had his best ever score for A & T, top scoring with 14 points, with Mike Hack one point behind in the Senior Combination. Charlie Keirl and Ryan King were A & T's best youngsters with 11 and 10 points respectively.
