Astley & Tyldesley staged the opening round of the Manchester League Grand Prix series at Gin Pit. The welcome addition of Sheffield led to a good turn out of riders, with 44 races staged, the later races staged under floodlights. Sheffield won the Division 1 team match, with Remi Burchardt winning the Senior Individual Grand Prix round.

Adam Watson won the opening U-10 Individual Grand Prix round, with Jake Read and Joel Partington sharing the honours at U-13 level. Dylan Radcliffe and Ben Dickenson were the victors at U-16 and U-19 levels respectively.
