Astley & Tyldesley riders competed in the final round of the Northern
Junior League series at Bury on Sunday. Adam Turnbull scored 13 points
in the U-10 category, which was sufficient for him to take the Northern
U-10 Grand Prix title. Joel Partington scored 14 in the U-13 category,
as he finished in 2nd place in the overall Grand Prix series. Matthew
Turnbull scored 13 in the U-19 category and that was sufficient for him
to win the Northern U-19 Grand Prix title. Stockport were convincing
winners of the Junior Team event overall, but A & T just pipped Bury and
Sheffield, to finish 2nd out of 7 teams in the six rounds competition.
Many congratulations go to Adam and Matthew on making this a family
double of victories.
