Bury hosted round 5 of the Manchester League Grand Prix series on
Wednesday evening. The juniors raced on a loose slippery surface, before
the surplus shale was swept off during the early stages of the senior
match.
Adam Phillips raced to an easy 16 points maximum score in the U-13
match, with Luke Jamson bagging a fine 15 points in the U-19 category.
Good supporting scores came from Adam Turnbull, Reece Pollitt and
Matthew Turnbull, with A & T's newcomers gaining valuable racing
experience. However, once again, Stockport ran out overall winners in
the Division 2 (junior team) match, with A & T 2nd and Bury 3rd.

Luke Jamson turned in his best performance at senior level, scoring 13
points in the Division 1 match. Adam Phillips made his bow at this level
and rode much better than his 6 points total suggests. Stockport ran out
easy winners, from Bury, with A & T third.
