Astley & Tyldesley hosted Round 1 of the
Manchester League Grand Prix series at Gin Pit. 41 races were completed
on a well prepared track, which saw Adam Phillips and Sacha Street both
beating their personal best times. Adam Turnbull and Adam Phillips both
raced unbeaten in the U-10 and U-13 categories respectively. These two
riders have made an excellent start to the season and have both set up
age best times at the Gin Pit circuit.
Stockport won the Division 2 match, from A & T, with Bury third. Luke
Jamson was A & T's sole rider in the senior event and he was left to rue
a last race gate exclusion, which ensured that A & T finished third
behind easy winners Stockport, with Bury second.
