Astley & Tyldesley's youngsters were in action at Stockport on Saturday,
in the 3rd North Regional Round of the British Youth & Junior League
series. A & T put in some great performances to take 2nd place on the
day in the U-12 match and keep on track to qualify for the national
rounds later this summer.
John White took 2nd place in the U-8 'A' Final. In the U-10 category,
Max Evans raced unbeaten in his qualifying heats and went on to win the
U-10 'A' Final. Tom Whitwam took 3rd place in that final, with Matt
Snell winning the 'B' Final.
British Youth & Junior League North Regional Round U-12 match result:
Sheffield 138, Astley & Tyldesley 46, Bury 28, Stockport 13
Adam Phillips went through the card unbeaten, to win the U-14 'A' Final.
Reece Pollitt had also qualified for that final, but pulled out, feeling
the effects of a wrist injury sustained when he fell in an earlier heat.
