Astley & Tyldesley's young riders turned in a terrific display of racing
in Round 2 of the British Youth & Junior League North Regional Round at
Hull on Saturday.
Despite taking two falls through trying too hard, Luke Hill recovered to
take 1st place in the U-8 'B' Final, with brother Jamie taking 2nd
place. A & T riders dominated the U-10 category, with Max Evans scoring
a 16 points maximum in the qualifying heats. Callum Maguire was very
impressive in his first match, dropping just one point, whilst Matt
Snell scored 14 points and Tom Whitwam 11. Tom went on to win the 'B'
Final, with the other three A & T riders lining up in the 'A' Final. Max
Evans passed Callum Maguire at the end of the 2nd lap to win the 'A'
Final, with Matt Snell finishing 4th.
