Riding on a
glorious sunny spring afternoon, A & T rode to a comfortable 82-67
victory over Hull, to mark their return to the Northern Combination
League after a two seasons absence. The home side took the lead with a
6-4 in heat 2 and never looked back. Joel Partington and new captain
Reece Pollitt led the way for A & T, both riders dropping just two
points each. Come back riders Roy Heslop, Ron Makin, Lee Phillips and
Martin Phillips all performed well, whilst A & T were able to blood
young juniors Daniel Burns and Matt Snell, to give them valuable match
experience. Best for Hull were Ben Swanborough and Lewis Aylmer and they
ride well in their three races each. Andy Cooper was Hull's other race
winner.
