On Saturday, Astley & Tyldesley's youngsters took part in the opening
North Regional Round of the British Youth & Junior League series. This
was the first appearance at this level for some of the A&T riders, but
they gave it their all and turned in some good results, as A&T took 3rd
place in the overall match. John White scored 11 points in the U-8 match
and took 2nd place in the 'B' Final. In the U-10s match, Rhys Burgess
scored 9 points and won the 'C' Final. Ben Dickinson also scored 9 and
won the 'B' Final, whilst Matt Snell dropped just one point, scoring 15
points and finishing 2nd in the 'A' Final. 16 riders contested the U-12s
match. Daniel Burns scored 13 points and won the 'B' Final, whilst Max
Evans scored 15 points and finished 4th in the 'A' Final. Ciaran Collins
scored 5 points in the U-14s match and finished 4th in the 'B' Final.
