Astley & Tyldesley staged Round 3 of the A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix series at Gin Pit on Sunday afternoon. As is commonplace in these events, a handicapping system was in place to overcome the differences in age, experience and ability.

Some keen racing took place, with the younger riders doing their best to hang on to their leads, whilst the older riders had to work hard to overcome their handicaps. A good event then, with all riders working hard for their points.

Ciaran Collins overcame the biggest handicap, to score 15 points, losing only to Liam Briggs first time out. Briggs also won three races, but lost out to Ben Dickinson in heat 8. Dickinson won a keenly contested 3rd place run-off, just edging out Jessica Burgess, after both had scored 14 points. In the 1st place run-off, Collins started off a 10 metres handicap and pulled off a pass on the last bend on Briggs, to take the win on the day.
