Gin Pit was the venue for the 4th and final National Round of the
British Youth & Junior League series. There was a large crowd present,
as eight teams and 101 riders contested 133 races in six matches on the
day. Astley & Tyldesley's youngsters turned in a terrific performance to
finish in 4th place on the day, with five of the seven A&T riders
qualifying for the individual grand prix finals. Best performance by an
A&T rider was by John White who won the u-8s 'B' Final. Matthew Snell
qualified for the u-10s 'B' Final, but took a fall and finished 4th.
Ciaran Collins won the u-14s 'C' Final, whilst Ben Dickinson and Max
Evans both won the 'D' Finals at u-10s and u-12s levels respectively.
Suffolk club Kesgrave ran out convincing winners as they clinched the
overall British Youth & Junior League series.
