Astley & Tyldesley were in action at Stockport on Sunday, for the final
Northern League meeting of the season. Stockport needed a win to clinch
the Division 1 title and they did that in emphatic style, winning
101-48. Danny Hughes was always in the thick of the action for A&T and
his wholehearted efforts deserved more than his 11 points return. Ron
Makin made a return to the A&T team, but A&T suffered a blow when Ciaran
Collins injured his foot on the first lap of heat 1, resulting in a
hospital trip.
