Sun 5th October Club Individual Championships Astley & Tyldesley

Astley & Tyldesley staged the annual Club Individual Championships at Gin Pit on Sunday. On a bright afternoon, there was an excellent turn out of u-8 and u-10 riders, but a disappointingly low number of older riders.

15 riders contested the first match, which consisted of u-8s and u-10s. Emily Burgess won the meeting, winning all her races to score a 20 points maximum. She beat her closest rival, Ben Dickinson, in heat 8. This was Ben's only defeat, as he took runners-up slot with 19 points. Seven years old John White lost only to these two, as he finished with 18 points, the highest u-8s scoring rider. Joe Quarmby was next up with 17 points, whilst the second highest scoring u-8s rider was Charlie Burgess on 15 points, with Luke Hill and Ryan Fallon tieing for 3rd place on 14 points.
