Bury hosted Round 2 of the Manchester League Grand Prix series at a very wet and miserable Goshen on Wednesday evening. A&T's youngsters made light of the conditions and romped to a record breaking victory in the Division 2 (juniors) match, with the five top scoring riders bagging 77 points out of a possible maximum of 80 points! Bury fielded a host of new riders, which saw a line-up of 15 riders for the u-10s match. A&T riders dominated the match, taking 5 of the top 6 places. Ben Dickinson raced to a 16 points maximum score, with Joe Quarmby and Emily Burgess dropping just a point each, excellent scores from John White and Charlie Burgess and three battling third places from young Max Quarmby. Max Evans put in a great performance to top the scores in the u-13s match, losing only to Bury's Adam Turnbull in heat 3, having passed him to win the preceding race. Matt Snell showed plenty of effort to score 9 points, with Alex Semtyshin finishing on 6. The U-16s and U-19s rode a combined match. After the on track scores were adjusted to split the groups, Reece Pollitt ended up with a 16 points maximum, with Ciaran Collins on 12 in the u-16s category. Stockport's Mat Lush top scored, losing only to team mate Jake Read in heat 10.
