Sat 9th August British Youth & Junior League Final Round 2 Ipswich

Astley & Tyldesley's juniors made the long trip to Ipswich for the British Youth & Junior League Final Round 2 match on Saturday. A&T had a few riders missing due to holidays, but the four who rode all turned in great performances.

In the u-8s event, John White again qualified for the Grand Prix 'A' Final, where he finished 4th. This result was sufficient for him to retain his overall lead in the series, with just two rounds remaining. Max Evans made the Grand Prix 'B' Final in the u-12s event, where he finished in 2nd place, to maintain his 4th place in the overall series standing. Ciaran Collins belied his lack of experience in national competitions, by reaching the u-14s Grand Prix 'B' Final, finishing 4th. Last up was Reece Pollitt, who qualified for the u-16s Grand Prix 'A' Final. His 4th place in this event keeps him in 5th place in the overall national standings.

A&T finished in 8th place on the day in the team standings in the Final Round series, to drop from 3rd to 6th place overall in the team standings, with two rounds to go.
