Sun 27th April Northern Fours and Grand Prix Round 2 Hull

Astley & Tyldesley fielded a team of youngsters for the Northern Fours League match at Hull on Sunday. Not surprisingly, the team finished in 6th and last place, but the youngsters all lapped up the valuable experience, to supplement their efforts in the preceding Northern Junior League match. Reece Pollitt top scored for A&T, taking three second places and two thirds from his five races. Bury Comets looked to have secured a hard fought win, but Hull controversially withdrew the unbeaten Adam Stephenson from the last race, to gift Jack Lush a race win, which put Stockport level on points with Bury.
