Tue 7th July | A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix Round 4 | Astley & Tyldesley | |
Astley & Tyldesley staged Round 4 of the A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix series at Gin Pit on Tuesday evening. Nine riders contested the event on a very boggy track after torrential downpours just prior to the meeting. As always, a handicap system was in operation to give the younger riders a sporting chance of success on the night. Four-year old Frank White took full advantage of that opportunity to record a 16 points maximum score and win the round. Second place went to Harry Goodier with a very respectable 14 points in tough conditions. Eight year olds Charlie Burgess and John White had a race off for third place, with John joining his younger brother on the podium. A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix Round 4 result: Frank White 16, Harry Goodier 14, John White 13, Charlie Burgess 13, Lucy Grantham 11, Denby Ashurst 11, Ben Forshaw 11, Luke Hill 10, Jack Murray 9. This result means that Frank White is the overall 2015 series winner, after scoring 52 points. Charlie Burgess is runner-up with 48 points, with Lucy Grantham and Max Quarmby tieing for 3rd place, after both scoring 42. |
