Astley & Tyldesley visited Bury on Sunday for Round 1 of the Northern Fours League. In a very close match, A&T beat Bury by a single point, with Hull in 3rd place and Stockport non starters. All four A&T riders scored well in the match. Northern Fours League match result: Astley & Tyldesley 50 Bury 49 Hull 41 Stockport 0. A&T: Kyle Holland 14, Emily Burgess 13, Mick Knowles 12, Mark Grantham 11. Referee - Andy Schofield. A&T ran out convincing winners in the Northern Junior League match. A&T's Reece Pollitt impressed for the North & Scotland team in the 3rd Battle of Britain match at Ipswich on Sunday. Reece scored 13 points, plus 2 bonus, as the North & Scotland team lost 118-82 to the South East and East team, who remain top of the table. A&T's John White took a fine 3rd place, with 14 points, in the u-12 Dash Trophies Individual at Wednesfield on Saturday. Max Evans was injured in the u-16 event and that ruled him out of the North & Scotland junior team on Sunday. In the Veterans match, Paul Graham scored 12 points and Mick Knowles 8. |
