Sat 1st Sept British Youth & Junior League National Round 4 Horspath

Astley & Tyldesley riders have enjoyed another great day of national success at Horspath on Saturday. We had riders competing in the final national round of the British Youth & Junior League and Little League series.

We salute 11 years old John White on winning his fifth British title, by winning both the u-12 Grand Prix 'A' Final and the overall series. Ciaran Collins won the Junior (u-18) Grand Prix 'A' Final today and that secured him third place in the overall series. 14 years old Emily Burgess never ceases to amaze us and her second place today in the Girls Final clinched overall second place in that series (for riders up to 18 years old). Aiden Green won the day's u-8 Grand Prix 'B' Final and that gave him third place in the overall series placings. Frank White finished 3rd in the u-8 'A' Final and 4th overall.

That's four top three placings in a national series this year, by A&T riders, to add to the nine top three placings achieved by A&T riders at last weekend's British Individual and Little League Championships. That of course, includes five British title wins from A&T riders in the last eight days.

Little League team score:

Kesgrave 82 Coventry 59 Poole 55 Astley & Tyldesley 36 Norwich 25 Horspath 23 Sheffield 18 Birmingham 18 Wednesfield 14 Exeter 14 Hellingly 10 Hethersett 10 Leicester 10.

BYJL team score:

Poole 150 Coventry 84 Kesgrave 55 Exeter 54 Astley & Tyldesley 45 Ipswich 36 Leicester 31 Sheffield 14.
