Team Green had to dig deep to overcome a late challenge by Stockport, to take 7th place in the final ranking of the European Club Championships. It was a great effort by A&T, riding their fifth match in three days in very hot and sunny conditions at the East Park, Wolverhampton track, the biggest in Britain.

A&T led the scores after three heats, but were soon overhauled by Birmingham and Ipswich, who went on to take 1st and 2nd places respectively. A&T led Stockport by seven points after heat 10, but the scores were level four races later. Reece Pollitt won the penultimate race and Steve Harris' 3rd place in heat 16 sealed 3rd place for A&T.
