Astley & Tyldesley staged Round 3 of the A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix series at Gin Pit on Tuesday evening. Eight riders participated, in one 12 heats match. The first round of races consisted of scratch races, with handicapping introduced for the remaining heats. Charlie Burgess raced unbeaten, beating runner-up Dexter Mole in heat 1, with Duncan Whalley third. A&T Go-Ride Grand Prix Round 3 scores: Charlie Burgess 16, Dexter Mole 15, Duncan Whalley 14, Levi Edwards 13, Holly Walmsley 12, Dylan Field 11, Lillie Field 9, Owen Simcock 6. Referee - Chaz Whalley. All riders were presented with Go-Ride certificates, medals and momentoes. The awards were presented by A&T Team Manager, Steve Harris. Eight riders, including three newcomers, turned out for the third Wingz/ Let's Ride Summer of Cycling holiday taster on Thursday afternoon. Coach Mike Hack put the new riders through their introductions to the track, before focusing on cornering techniques for the regular club riders. All riders were presented with Let's Ride certificates, medals and goodies. The awards were presented by A&T Coach Mike Hack. |
