Many congratulations go to Frank White on winning the Little League u-10s Grand Prix Final! Frank raced unbeaten in the qualifying heats and took the win in the Grand Prix 'A' Final, at the East Park track in Wolverhampton, on Saturday. Norwich's Connor Jarrett also raced unbeaten in the qualifying heats, and chased Frank hard in the final, to finish runner-up, with Sheffield's Oliver Banyard third. This extends an amazing run for Frank, in that he has won every race held at his own age group for the entire 2019 and 2021 seasons (none were held in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic). Frank's last race defeat at his own age level occurred in 2018! Oscar Belt made his first national appearance and he scored a creditable 11 points in the u-10 qualifying heats, before finishing 2nd in the Grand Prix 'B' final, to finish 6th in the u-10 championships. A&T had just two riders in the British Youth & Junior League competition later in the day. Duncan Whalley scored 10 points in the u-14 qualifying heats, before finishing 4th in the Grand Prix 'C' final, to finish in 12th place. Charlie Burgess scored 6 points in the u-16/ u-18 qualifying heats, before winning the u-16 Grand Prix 'C' Final, to finish in 9th place. Kesgrave won the overall British Youth & Junior League team championship, with A&T finishing in 7th place. |
