A&T hosted the Manchester League Individual Final at Gin Pit on Wednesday evening. Heavy morning rain had cleared away, to leave the track in a damp and grippy condition. Bury riders Reece Pollitt and Kris Ramsden won their opening three races each, before coming head to head in heat 13. Pollitt made the most of his inside start to take the win, with Stockport's Ben Higham taking 2nd after a strong tussle with Ramsden. This put both Higham and Ramsden on 14 points, after four races each, along with Stockport's Terry Norman. Pollitt beat A&T's Steve Harris in heat 16, to clinch the title with a 20 points maximum score. In the next race, Higham held his grid 1 and kept out Norman for four laps, to finish on 18 and secure a rostrum place. Ramsden needed to win the last race to level on points with Higham, and he duly delivered, by finishing ahead of team mates Mike Baldock and Eryk Motala. This was the fastest time of the night, 43.50 seconds. In the run-off for 2nd place, Ramsden pulled off a superb gate from grid 4 to clear Higham and pull away to secure overall 2nd place on the night, with Higham third.
