Sun 6th August Northern Fours and Junior League
Round 5
Bury

Bury staged Round 5 of the Northern Fours & Junior League series on Sunday. The forecast rain held off until the second part of the Junior League match, featuring the older categories. There was an improved turn out of riders from the previous round.

Bury took their fifth win of the the Fours League series, to clinch the title. Reece Pollitt again raced unbeaten, with solid support from the rest. Hull's Lewis Foxley completed his maximum score when he passed the previously unbeaten Kris Ramsden on the last lap of heat 23, with the unfortunate Bury rider put to the back. Hull finished runners-up, with Astley & Tyldesley and Sheffield finishing level in joint 3rd place. Stockport actually scored 51 points, on the track, just 1 behind Bury, but the 25 points scored by their two guest riders didn't count to their official team total, with the other teams' scores adjusted as well.
