A depleted Astley & Tyldesley squad was beaten in all three North & Scotland League matches at Hull on Sunday. A&T put up a game fight in the Division 1 match before going down 100-80. The Division 2 match was a 95-50 win for Hull, and a 99-21 win in Division 3. Turning out for A&T was 70 years old club founder member, Mike Hack, who became the oldest rider ever to turn out for the club.
On the bright side, A&T's John White retained his Division 1 match race title by beating Noah Lyon. A&T's Steve Harris defeated the holder, Harry Gibson, in the Division 2 match race.
