Thanks to all who turned up for the Club Presentation & Social Evening last Friday and contributed to such an enjoyable evening, with our best turn out for several years. Congratulations to all award winners and recipients.

*    Congratulations go to Becky Heslop on taking 3rd place in the British Indoor U-13 Individual Championship at Salford. She scored 19 points out of a possible 20 in the match, before finishing 3rd in a 3 rider run-off for the title.

*    Mike Hack has successfully completed the last module of the Coaching Course, so he is now a qualified British Cycling Level 2 Club Coach.

Updated Winter Activities

*    Every Sunday, from 10 am, starting 9th November.

     Winter track improvements.

     All club members are requested to assist in completing track improvements before Christmas.

     This will enable us to concentrate on training sessions in the New Year.

     Any members requiring further information on track work, please contact Gary Nuttall on 01942 749146.

*    Wednesday 19th November, from 7.30 pm.

     Social evening in the Main Function Room, Miners' Welfare Club, featuring videos of cycle speedway matches.

*    Sunday 30th November, 12.30 pm.

     British Cycling Cycle Speedway AGM at Tividale Community Centre, Sandwell.

     Club delegates to attend.

*    Wednesday 3rd December, from 7.30 pm.

     Social evening in the Main Function Room, Miners' Welfare Club, featuring videos of cycle speedway matches.

*    Thursday 11th December, 7.15 pm.

     Club AGM in the Groves Suite, Miners' Welfare Club.

     All club members are requested to attend this important meeting to review this year and plan for next year.

*    Club training sessions will start early January with weekly off road training, leading to on-track sessions 

    starting in February.
