Following discussions with members of the Stoke club, the A & T Club Committee have reversed the decision taken at the Club AGM, and we shall be engaging the services of Frank Finnigan and Garry Pearce on secondary registrations for the forthcoming season. Their availability will certainly bolster the 1st team, and enable A & T's newer and younger riders to develop at an appropriate pace, without pushing them too quickly into senior racing without any quality support.
Mike Hack has been upgraded to a Grade A
International referee for 2004. This is the first time that an official from
the A & T club has reached this level.
Following the Bury club's decision to compete in
the National League in 2004, there will not be a Gt. Manchester team entering
the Premier League. As the two leagues operate on the same dates, there would
not be any Bury riders available for a Gt. Manchester team, and as such
there would not be a viable team for 2004. Maybe circumstances will change in
2005.
