Australia Juniors went into the last race two points ahead and with skipper Josh Ison and Troy Cowell off gates one and three, the Aussies were hoping for victory. But Welsh duo Ryan Jones and tactical reserve Nicky Evans, coming in for the struggling Aaron Hughes, combined brilliantly to take a 6-4 from the outside grids to give Wales Juniors a memorial one-point victory. Wales lead one rubber to nil in the two match series.
