Damian Zareba was in brilliant form to win the Spixworth Spring Classic at Norwich on Saturday.

Damian dropped just 1 point to team mate Remi Burchardt to finish on 19 points. This put him in a run-off for 1st place with British Champion and World No.3 Lee Aris, of Wednesfield. Aris held Zareba from the start, and, despite all the Pole's efforts, kept him out until the last bend. Then, Zareba produced a brilliant switch to swoop inside Aris on exiting the last bend to win the race and the magnificent trophy.

Burchardt rode really well, despite the handicap of having to race on borrowed bikes after snapping a brand new bottom bracket whilst warming up. He finished with 17 points, and but for an unfortunate fall when conditions were treacherous following mid match rain, would have finished on 19 points as well. He finished in 4th place after losing a run-off for 3rd place with Southampton's Lee Galley.
