Astley & Tyldesley will be racing in the Northern section of the Midlands/North League Division 1 this season. In order to accommodate an expansion of teams from 8 to 11, the league has been split into two sections, with the top two teams from each section meeting in end of season play-offs to determine the final placings.The matches will follow the same format as last year, i.e. Combination match over 12 heats, with six rider teams plus two optional reserves, starting at 2pm, followed by First team match over 18 heats, with eight rider teams, starting at 3 pm.

Northern section: Astley & Tyldesley; Bury; Hull; Stockport (formerly Tameside); Stoke.

Midlands section: Birmingham; Coventry; Leicester; Sandwell; Sheffield; Wednesfield.

The Midlands/North Individuals will be staged at Gin Pit on Saturday 30th September.

We shall also be competing in the Northern League. This League will consist of the Northern section matches counting for both the Midlands/North League and the Northern League. Each Northern section team will also race two additional matches, against Heckmondwike, on a home and away basis, over 15 heats using six rider teams with two optional reserves, in the Northern League. Therefore the Northern League line-up will be: Astley & Tyldesley; Bury; Heckmondwike; Hull; Stockport (formerly Tameside); Stoke.

Eight teams have entered the Northern Fours League, therefore there will be eight rounds of the Northern Fours & Junior League series.

Northern Fours League line-up: Astley & Tyldesley; Bury; Edinburgh (formerly Scotia); Heckmondwike; Hull; Stockport (formerly Tameside); Sheffield; Stoke.

The Northern Cup Finals will take place at Edinburgh. The format will be a 4 team, 16 heats, 4 rider plus 1 optional reserve format. The Senior event will have two semi-finals with the top two progressing to the final.

Semi-final draws: SF1 - Bury; Sheffield; Edinburgh; Hull.

                          SF2 - Stockport; Heckmondwike; Stoke; Astley & Tyldesley.

Northern League Individuals will take place at Heckmondwike.
