Many congratulations go to Club Catering Manager June Phillips on winning the Unsung Hero in Sport Award at the Wigan Sports Awards Evening at the DW Stadium on Friday evening.

She received her award from former Olympic 800 metres athlete Jenny Meadows, who was the guest speaker at the evening. June has been a loyal, reliable and hard working volunteer for the club for thirteen of the last sixteen years and this recognition is richly deserved.

June will now represent Wigan at the Gt. Manchester Awards Evening next month.
