Astley & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club received good news last week with the award of a grant of £1,170 from Wigan Council's Small Grants Awards, to go towards the purchase of bikes, helmets, gloves, gazebo, carrier coaching and first aid courses, in readiness for next season.

The club are thankful to Catherine White who made this application back in July. This brings the total amount awarded by Wigan Council to the Gin Pit based club to £5,000, which is the maximum sum they grant to an organisation within a financial year.
