Astley & Tyldesley had two youngsters honoured with selection for their countries in Saturday's Junior Home International at Ipswich.  17 years old Reece Pollitt, a Bolton College student from Gin Pit, excelled on his England debut. Reece scored a highly impressive 15 points, winning three races and coming second in his other race. 15 years old Ciaran Collins, a St. Mary's High School pupil from Hindsford, made his Ireland debut and he battled hard against some strong opposition. England ran out convincing winners, whilst Scotland pipped Wales for second place, with Ireland fourth. Junior Home International result: England 61 Scotland 40 Wales 39 Ireland 19.
