Plenty of good racing was dished up on a fast, grippy Astley & Tyldesley track in Thursday's Manchester Cycle Speedway League Grand Prix Round. On the night, honours were just about shared between the competing Astley & Tyldesley and Tameside clubs, with Bury non-starters. Maximum 16 point scores were recorded by Becky Heslop, Chris Eaton and Mark Wylie in the junior categories, with honours shared between Polish stars Pawel Kozlowski and Przemek Binkowski in the senior event. Tameside edged the junior match, but A & T easily took the senior category.
