Astley & Tyldesley secured two wins in the Manchester League Grand Prix series at Gin Pit on Thursday, with Bury non starters. Pawel Kozlowski once again raced unbeaten for A & T in the Senior match, twice beating fellow World Finalist, Terry Norman, of Tameside, as the home side romped to a 55-14 win. The Junior match was much closer, with A & T's Becky Heslop racing unbeaten in the U-13 category. Tameside's Chris Eaton and Mark Wylie raced unbeaten in the U-16 and U-19 categories respectively. Rob Longworth made a welcome return to the A & T team and he scored a fine 14 points in the U-16 category, as A & T edged home 60-58.
