Astley & Tyldesley enjoyed a successful evening's racing in the opening
round of the Manchester League Grand Prix series at Bury on Thursday evening.
A & T's Polish star Przemek Binkowski was in great form to record a 16
points maximum to win the senior event, on a rutted, dry and slippery track.
Chris Eaton of Tameside took maximum points to win the U-16 category, whilst A
& T's Becky Heslop was unbeaten in the U-13 category.
The turnout for this opening round was disappointing and it is to be hoped
that more senior riders will support the later rounds.
