Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare / CTA Direct Cycle Speedway Club
hosted the Manchester League Junior Individual Finals at Gin Pit on Thursday.
In the U-13 event, A & T's Becky Heslop won all her four races to take
the title with a maximum score. Tameside's Lewis Riley finished runner-up, with
Bury's newcomer William Collins finishing 3rd. In the U-16 event, Tameside's
Chris Eaton won with a maximum score. A & T's first year rider Warren Mee
put in a terrific performance to take 2nd place, with last year's U-13 Champion
Rob Longworth finishing 3rd. Bury's Ben Scranage won the U-19 event, again with
a maximum score, ahead of team mates Scott Jarman and newcomer Michael Parrish.
