Astley & Tyldesley were in action at the Tameside
club's track at Stockport on Wednesday for Round 2 of the Manchester League
Grand Prix series.
In the Senior match, A & T were narrowly beaten by
Tameside, with an exclusion to Przemek Binkowski (in his last match for A &
T before returning to Poland) and a fall by Tomasz Wlodarczyk proving to be
costly. Frank Finnigan was in excellent form, top scoring for the CTA Direct
sponsored team. Astley & Tyldesley were unhappy with several refereeing
decisions.

A & T raced to a convincing win in the Junior match,
beating Bury by 15 points, with the home team Tameside failing to field a single
rider. Joe Twiss and Becky Heslop both raced unbeaten in the U-16 category, with
excellent scores from the other A & T riders.
