Astley & Tyldesley hosted the opening round of the Manchester League Grand Prix series at Gin Pit on Wednesday. Despite some excellent individual performances, on a fast and grippy track, it was a disappointing result for A & T in that they trailed in 3rd in both the senior and junior matches. Darek Kurkowski won three races and dropped just one point in the senior match, whilst Adam Phillips (pictured) raced unbeaten in the U-10 category of the junior match.
