Astley & Tyldesley were in action at Bury on Wednesday for Round 5 of the Manchester League Grand Prix series. The Bury track had recovered well from the torrential rain that fell during the previous Sunday's match with A & T, and a good night's racing took place.

In the Division 1 (senior) match, A & T ran out winners. Remi Burchardt topped the individual scorers, losing only to Tomasz Wlodarczyk in heat 10.

In the Division 2 (junior) match, Bury ran out winners from Stockport, with A & T back in 3rd place. Joel Partington raced to another maximum score in the U-10 category. Stefan Whitelegg recovered from a fall first time out, whilst Adam Phillips again gained valuable experience from racing in an older category.
