Astley & Tyldesley staged Round 3 of the A & T Go-Ride Grand Prix series
at Gin Pit on Sunday afternoon. A handicapping system was used, to cater
for the disparity in age and ability of riders competing. The eventaual
top three riders all met in heat 4 and Adam Phillips overcame his half
lap handicap to overhaul Max Evans and Thomas Whitwam. All three riders
were unbeaten in their other races, so that was the final outcome. The
handicapping system certainly made each rider work hard for his points.
