Astley & Tyldesley visited Heckmondwike for Round 5 of the Northern Fours & Junior League series on Sunday. Disappointingly, the club could field just three riders for the Senior Fours match, resulting in a joint 5th position with Heckmondwike. One more rider would have seen the team finish at least 4th on the day. Reece Pollitt was in great form, winning three of his five races, whilst Paul Graham scored an excellent race win over Mat Lush and Chris Parish last time out. In The Northern Junior League events, Ben Dickinson scored a 16 points maximum, to maintain his u-10 series lead, with one round remaining. He was well backed up Joe Quarmby and John White, who both scored an excellent 15 points each. Ryan Fallon scored 10 and Max Quarmby weighed in with 8 points. Kieran Fallon scored 4 in the u-13s match, whilst Reece Pollitt bagged 13 in the u-16s event. |
