Sat 22nd August British Youth & Junior League National Round 3 Bury

Astley & Tyldesley had five riders competing in the 3rd National Round of the British Youth & Junior League series at Bury on Saturday.

Reece Pollitt dropped just one point in the u-17 qualifiers to make it through to the Grand Prix 'A' final, where he finished in 4th place. Ciaran Collins competed, despite riding with a broken hand in a plaster case. Not surprisingly, his score was down from usual, scoring 7 points and winning the Grand Prix 'D' Final. Earlier in the day, Joe Quarmby scored 13 points in the u-10 qualifiers, before taking 2nd place in the Grand Prix 'B' Final. Younger brother, Max Quarmby, scored 9 points in the u-8 qualifiers and went on to finish in 3rd place in the Grand Prix 'C' Final. Lucy Grantham scored 5 points in the u-8 qualifiers and finished 3rd in the Grand Prix 'D' Final.
