Astley & Tyldesley's youngsters took the win in the 4th and final North Regional round of the British Youth & Junior League series at Bury on Saturday. A&T rode to a convincing win, to make it four wins out of four, to qualify for the national series, along with runners-up Sheffield. As well as winning the team match, three A&T riders won their respective Grand Prix series. Congratulations to Tom Morrissey (u-12), John White (u-14) and Chloe Warn (Girls) on their overall series wins. On the day, the respective Grands Prix Finals were won by Tom Morrissey (u-12), John White (u-14) and Emily Burgess (Girls). Both Morrissey and White took their wins in fine style from the unfavourable grid 4. U-18 scorer: Adam Turnbull (Bury) 16. 'A' Final: Turnbull. Referee - Neil Howarth. Astley & Tyldesley suffered their first defeat in the Little League series, as Sheffield took the win on the day. A&T however finish top of the table, ahead of Sheffield. A&T's Frank White raced to a 16 points maximum in the u-8s match, before winning the Grand Prix A Final and the overall series. In the u-10s match, both A&T's Aiden Green and Sheffield's Edward Balfour raced unbeaten in the qualifying heats. Balfour drew grid 1 and took the win from Green, off grid 4, in the Grand Prix A FInal, to clinch the overall series, with Green second in both the race and the series.
