Astley & Tyldesley raced to team victories in the opening North & Scotland Regional rounds, of both the Little League and British Youth & Junior League series. The Gin Pit circuit was in pristine condition on a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon. In the Little League match, A&T's Frank White raced to a maximum in the u-8s match and went on to win the Grand Prix 'A' Final. In the u-10s category, A&T's Aiden Green and Sheffield's Edward Balfour both raced unbeaten in the qualifying heats. In the Grand Prix 'A' Final, Green headed home first, ahead of Balfour. Best wishes go to A&T's Freddie Cox, who sustained facial injuries after a heavy fall in his opening ride and took no further part in the meeting. Stockport's Michael Preston top scored in the u-18s match and went on to win the Grand Prix 'A' Final.
