Astley & Tyldesley riders were in fine form at the British Youth & Junior League and Little League 1st National Round match at East Newport. An excellent performance by Astley & Tyldesley saw our juniors take 3rd place in the opening round of the four match series! Defending champions Poole were runaway winners, ahead of Kesgrave, and then A&T. Well done to all our riders! British Youth & Junior League National Round 1 result: Poole 138, Kesgrave 73, Astley & Tyldesley 55, Leicester 48, Newport 45, Coventry 36, Sheffield 13, Ipswich 11. In the Little League match, Frank White raced to a 16 points maximum score and won the u-8s Grand Prix 'A' Final. Stephen Warn scored 13 and won the 'B' Final. Aiden Green scored 12 points in the u-10 match and finished 3rd in the 'C' Final. In the British Youth & Junior League match, Duncan Whalley scored 11 points in the u-12 event and finished 3rd in the Grand Prix 'C' Final. John White scored 12 points in the u-14 match and won the 'B' Final. Charlie Burgess scored 7 and finished 3rd in the 'D' Final. In the Girls match, Emily Burgess scored 14 points and finished 2nd in the Grand Prix 'A' Final. Chloe Warn had her best national match to date, scoring 11 and finishing 4th in the 'B' Final. |
