A&T captain Reece Pollitt made his full England debut in the Home International at the Fife track, in Dunfermline, on Saturday. Reece turned in an excellent performance, winning two of his three races and finishing second in the other, to score 11 points. England ran out comfortable winners, the Senior International result being: England 67 Wales 52 Scotland 37 Ireland 23. England also won the Junior and Veterans International matches. Earlier in the day, A&T's British Women's Champion Emily Burgess teamed up with Sheffield's Tyldesley based Laura Watson, to win the Women's Regional Pairs Championship for the fourth successive staging. Representing the North & Scotland region, Emily raced unbeaten in her six races. In a last heat decider, Emily passed the South & South Wales' Lauren Hookway, to ensure a 2 points win over the South & South Wales team. Women's Regional Pairs result: North & Scotland 36 South & South Wales 34 Midlands 28 South East & Eastern 22. |
