Astley & Tyldesley were represented in Round 2 of the British Youth & Junior League series, at Wednesfield on Saturday. Frank White was in terrific form in the u-12s match, winning every race in the qualifying heats and Grand Prix 'A' Final. Duncan Whalley scored 9 points in the u-14 match, before winning the GP 'B' Final. Caspar Ellis made his bow at this level, scoring 4 points and finishing 3rd in the GP 'C' Final. A steady 12 points from John White saw him qualify for the u-16 GP 'A' Final, where he finished in 4th place. Earlier in the day, Levi Edwards put in a great showing in the u-10 Little League match, finishing 4th in the GP 'A' Final. Josh Pilkington qualified for the GP 'B' Final, where he crashed out and injured his ankle in the process. Fortunately, a trip to A&E has revealed that no bones were broken. |
