Astley & Tyldesley have qualified for the national series of the British Youth & Junior League! Congratulations go to our squad of junior riders, who finished 2nd in the 4th regional round of the series, at Hull on Saturday. Hull just pipped A&T in the final standings, for both clubs to qualify for the national series this summer. Brothers Frank and John White won their respective individual Grand Prix series, at u-12 and u-18 levels respectively - Frank clinching victory on the day, John at the previous round. Nahom Tumizghy won the u-12 GP 'B' Final. BYJL North & Scotland Regional Round 4 result: Hull 75 Astley & Tyldesley 55 Bury 15 Sheffield 14 Heckmondwike 7. A&T scorers: Frank White 16, Nahom Tumizghy 10, Josh Pilkington 10, Levi Edwards 9, Amelia Harrison-Jones 5, Mason Gallagher 5. Final League standings: Hull 18 (211), Astley & Tyldesley 17 (213), Sheffield 12 (129), Bury 8 (64), Heckmondwike 5 (35), Edinburgh 0, Fife 0, Glasgow 0, Northumbria 0, Stockport 0. No A&T riders contested the Little League match, so that meant that A&T slipped to third place in the final table.
